Every Friday, we skim the cyber soup to find the top food related blog posts for your reading pleasure!

Let's see... ah, let's start off with a nice appetizer, shall we? I really enjoyed the Herbed Feta Dip recipe post from Bearly Edible. It looks like it would be a worthy addition to a menu for the first outdoor party of the season. Say, hand me those tortilla chips, will'ya?

There's a wonderful take on the traditional Carrot Cake from Piggy's Cooking Journal, a blog that hails from Singapore.

From the Illinois-based Blue Kitchen blog comes a recipe for The Taste of Spring: Seasonal Fava Beans and Pasta. The recipe features a nice interplay of bacon, garlic and lemon flavors.

The Stephen Cooks blog (Maine) posted a great nosh recipe for Fennel, Apple, Onion and Pancetta Pizza. This recipe is a good example of finding harmony in one's ingredients.

The Seriously Good (Tennessee) blog posted a recipe for Rack of Lamb with Camelized Onions which caught my interest because of its use of Zinfindel wine. I think this particular wine would give this dish a lighter flavor than most versions I've had.

If you're looking for something new to try in the kitchen, check out the Stuffed Bread recipe post from the Little Spatula blog (Illinois). This is the kind of recipe you can adapt to your own uses as I did when I stuffed the bread with some fresh basil, diced red onion, gorganzola cheese and cherry tomatoes. Oh yeah...

This week's Comfort Food Post Award goes to the ToastPoint blog for their version of Spaghetti Carbonara. This dish is often damaged by cooks who "overthink" the concept of what a carbonara is all about but not here--- there's an abundance of hearty simple flavors. Exellent!
