Every Friday, we skim the cyber soup to find the top food related blog posts for your reading pleasure!

One of the new blogs I've discovered lately is Hand To Mouth, a food diary of sorts by "two young women, N and B, who live in two of the world’s most expensive cities and cook constantly, mostly for the pleasure it gives but also for the ends it helps meet."  Posts such as Vaguely Lebanese Couscous-Stuffed Peppers feature a nice light writing quality that reflects everyday life.  A good read indeed!

Another blog with a playful quality is the Little Girl, Big Knife blog.  I enjoyed the Drunken and Fast Shrimp and Pasta Dish which describes a situation many folks have encountered: "Once dinner time came around I was slightly tipsy and knew I needed to make something quick."  Ah, who among us has not enjoyed a tad too much of the grape before entering the kitchen?

The This Is Gonna Be Good blog has a series of fascinating posts on Western Food In Korea which give us a look at how different cultures perceive food from other cultures.

The Food Vagabond blog features lively writing and wonderful photography as the blog covers a variety of food angles.  Written by a blogger who "moved to Rome", the posts, such as Playing Around With Cajeta, have a nice international flavor!

If you crave a food blog with an Asian flair to it, head on over to Just Bento.  What's a bento you ask?  The blogger explains:  "Bento, or obento to use the honorific term, is a meal served in a box. Beyond that basic definition though, just about anything goes as to what kind of box or container is used, as well as what is put inside that box."  The food has a fresh look to it and this blog gives the reader a nice insider's look at food traditions in another culture.  A good example of what you'll encounter here is exemplified by the post Stir Fried Cabbage with Garlic, dried Cranberries and Balsalmic Vinegar... mmmm!

Our last item features what is not a food blog per se but it's a food related site I think many food bloggers will find of interest--- Uncle Phaedrus: Finder Of Lost Recipes.  Recipes for such delights as Dried Peach Fried Pies, Italian Sesame Cookies, Emu Eggs and Caramel Pie are great examples of how food can easily transport us back in time at any given moment, eh?

Have a great weekend everybody!
